Description:

Pointless is constructed based on the structure of a specific gallery reception night and presented along with many other artists’ works. I intended to make the performance as a live “critique” to the art opening night by performing and delivering a critique liking gesture, a pointing index finger, performed and translated into wearable device, balloons, live streamed video, audience’s participation, words, and photos. By delivering and amplifying the gesture of pointing as an event specific performance, I suggest an ironic perception on reflecting and rethinking the parameter of art gallery reception event.
